Arthur McBain is an Author and Actor from Liverpool, UK. His debut children's book IN THE DEAD OF THE NIGHT was published by Little Hare in 2019 and has since been translated into multiple languages and adapted into a stage musical. His second children's book NIGHT OF THE LIVING PASTA was published in 2022. His debut novel for adults HIPPOPOTAMUS is currently on sub.

As an actor, Arthur has just finished shooting the lead role in the movie THE FLAW alongside David Dawson and Ralf Little. He will soon be seen as the lead in the upcoming film, AUBERGENFELD beside Frances Barber; in Amazon Feature DEEP COVER in a cast alongside Bryce Dallas Howard, Orlando Bloom, Sean Bean and Paddy Considine; and in Film 4 / BFI feature, SURVIVING EARTH which will be premiering at South By South West in March 2025. 

On television he led the award winning Australian ABC TV series FRIDAY ON MY MIND and starred in ITV's THE TROUBLE WITH MAGGIE COLE opposite Dawn French. Arthur played a pivotal role in Marc Munden’s Disney/FX adaptation of NEVER LET ME GO produced by DNA and was seen in NAPOLEON directed by Ridley Scott, led by Joaquin Phoenix and Vanessa Kirby. He has recently been seen in season 2 of AMC’s INTERVIEW WITH A VAMPIRE and ITV’s AFTER THE FLOOD produced by Nicola Shindler.  

Arthur is also a podcast creator as co-writer and producer of AT YOUR PERIL, which has been featured in The Guardian, The Sunday Post and Great British Podcasts. 

He is currently writing a new novel and learning the flying trapeze.
